Glowboxes is an e-commerce website that specialises in everything neon! Based in Beverley Hills, California, the team at Glowboxes source the best neon products on the market and sell retail to consumers and businesses with a wholesale model. Whether you are want to buy glow sticks, glow bracelets, glow necklaces, LED products or neon toys, the Glowboxes website has you covered.

The Glowboxes team wanted a website that would easily serve retail and wholesale customers without having two separate websites. A dynamic product pricing and shipping table was needed, so when a user changed the amount of products in their cart and updated their shipping destination, the prices would update automatically.

What We Did

The client wanted bright, vibrant and engaging colours throughout the website, so neon colours and gradients play a large part of this design. Initially this project was to be launched as a MVP, so we developed the website on a skeleton theme, using WP Bakery to keep the cost down. The client also wanted drag and drop functionality when it came to website edits, so this option made the most sense for the budget and for the client’s situation.

For dynamic pricing we implemented a pop up modal which would force users to set a shipping destination before they started shopping. This selection sets all product prices for that destination. We developed a price range plugin for Woocommerce that decreases the cost per product depending on how many items are added to the cart. Wishlist functionality was also configured and integrated with the website.
