Ajax Flooring is a commercial flooring company who provide stylish, long-lasting flooring solutions for businesses throughout London, Kent and the surrounding areas. The family run company has over 50 years’ experience in the business, and offer a range of stylish flooring types, including wood, laminate, carpet and safety floor solutions.

Jayne from Ajax Flooring approached us to see how we could update their current website design to something more up to date and less tired. The client wanted a website that would showcase their work to potential customers, serve as an information portal about the company, increase phone calls and restore lost rankings in Google where a previous developer had changed URLs and content. All of this whilst working on a budget. We achieved all five!!

What We Did

An initial research phase was performed to find out more about the clients requirements and to help build a picture of the website before it was developed. We didn’t produce any designs for this project due to budget limitations so doing the correct research first was vital! We developed the website using our own bootstrap theme and the WP Bakery page Builder so we could design and deploy a number of page templates quickly and easily.

To fix the search engine issues and restore the website’s rankings we used the archive.org’s web archive to re-implement the old url structure, meta data and content. After a few weeks of going live, all rankings were restored and the website’s traffic was back to normal. We also created a number of contact forms and call to actions to help increase lead generation to the website.
